At FurryTales, our philosophy is one of professionalism and transparency. Although we strive to provide services on par with the most esteemed businesses in the New York metropolitan area, we do not take a "business" first approach. Our number one priority is our clients (both the 2 legged and 4 legged kind!). Your happiness and peace of mind is what we look to achieve. When your pet is in our care, we want you to feel as though you've left him or her with a family member, not a services provider. All trainings, daycare and boarding come with continuous updates, photos and feedback . You'll never have to wonder how your pet is doing when you're not around. Our ultimate priority is to ensure the safety, physical and psychological well being of the animals in our care.

Additionally, we're deeply committed to education and awareness around animal protection. Our strong partnerships with local rescue organizations help us to remain at the forefront of that mission.

Our team has over a decade of experience in Pet Care, Animal Rescue, Behavioral Training / Consultancy, Management and Education. Each individual brings to FurryTales a unique mindset, creative approach and a sincere conscientiousness for the well being of all animals.

Founder & Head Canine Behaviorist

Amanda Marshall (CBCC-KA & CPDT-KA)

Amanda's home has always been filled with "love and animals." With an education in Applied Psychology, Canine Behaviorist certification from the Council of Certified Professional Dog Trainers, Master’s Course completion in Aggressive Dog Training and a working background in both the Financial Services and Technology industries, she brings with her a unique perspective on how to provide quality care in today's fast paced and demanding world. She has a deep and intricate understanding of behavioral learning theories that spans across canines and humans alike. Her dog training uses non-coercive, reinforcement based approaches to achieve behavioral outcomes.

She has volunteered since 2014 for local rescue organizations where she's truly been able to pursue her passion for animal welfare and protection. Her network extends to local veterinarians, pet shop owners and other non-profits. Through continuous education and self driven initiatives, she strives to ensure our training methodologies and approaches remain humane, adaptive, and in tuned to the animal’s emotional and psychological needs. It is through patience, vigilance, and a sincere love for animals, that she commits herself to giving your pet the care it deserves.

Daniele Polimeni

After obtaining his MBA and then managing teams of 70+ people in hospitality for over 10 years, Daniele transitioned his skill set into his personal passion: working with animals. His gentle nature, persistent positivity and caretaker approach make him loved by animals and people alike. Throughout his career, Daniele has made it a point to establish trust, build relationships and excel at making individuals feel comfortable. He applies that same approach to each and every interaction he has with our pack and their families.

Terreca Wright

Terreca started working in pet care ten years ago. What began as a part time job quickly became a passion and she brings that passion to FurryTales everyday. Hands on experience and tutelage under our Head Canine Behaviorist have helped Terreca develop her communication skills with pups and humans alike. While she loves daycare and boarding, Terreca most enjoys the training work. She says, “Whether it be obedience or behavioral, it’s amazing to see how structure and consistency can improve a dog’s mental health and change their life!” Terreca is an integral part of the FurryTales pack and a key contributor to our continued growth.
